This project aims to deconstruct the western society that celebrates youth, beauty, wealth and power, putting them atop the hierarchy and discarding those it deems less important.  The common thread amongst all the images is the notion of represented power.  Each photograph tells a story the viewer isn’t used to—stories which culture hasn’t primed them for.  Each depiction flips the power script, reversing the narrative that culture has dictated for every individual in the series.  Unpacking agism, sexism, gender, race, status, wealth, beauty, and so much more, this series comments on society and how flipping the ideas engraved in our minds shocks, unsettles, and awes—allowing the viewer to revel in the appeal of what culture has determined unusual.
